Black Drink

The Black Drink (also known as the Black Spirit[1] and possibly the Blacksick[2]) is an addictive, psychoactive drug that grants immortality at the cost of one's personality. While the cost at first is mental, turning a person "cunning[,] evil, self-centered and greedy", the Black Drink eventually also has an affect on physical appearance.[3] However, there is no known limit to the life-extensive capabilities of the Drink. The Black Drink can be taken straight,[4] or mixed with another drink (like tea[5])
Golgo is the most prominent user of the Black Drink, but in Order of Tales it is revealed that Chasmus also is an addict to the stuff. Golgo's sister Olga, who brews the Drink for him, uses a different concoction of potions to keep herself alive. Extranji, the apothecary of Tenshells, makes and sells the Drink to his fellow Fin-Folk, but it is unknown whether he uses it himself.
