Brain Child is a mysterious figure that resides in a tower in Lonely Land. He is responsible for the countless magical lights and lightbulbs that dot the landscape of his domain. He and Father Dimmon come into conflict over creatures that fall to Lonely Land's curse; while Brain Child prefers to telepathically spy on their dreams, Father Dimmon would rather just eat them.

When Brain Child perceives Rice Boy's dreams in Chapter 20 of Rice Boy, he becomes enraged at the name of Parod. His intense hatred of Parod is unexplained, but for whatever reason, Brain Child decides to release Rice Boy from Lonely Land's curse after the encounter.<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/see/index.php?c=158</ref>

According to Baron Gecrimaug, he is "very powerful and wealthy",<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/see/index.php?c=221</ref> although the source of his power or wealth is unknown. Nonetheless, it is due to Brain Child's desire for filarmium ore that he sends the Dimmons to fight in the Fulfiller's War.
