Garu Cats

Garu Cats are swift, vicious nocturnal predators that live in the trees of the Esterteng. While they will pursue smaller prey,[1] Garu Cats are also perfectly willing to go after Fluters, especially while they are asleep or if they stray too close to trees. Thus, they are likely the apex predators of the Flutelands. When hunting, Garu Cats travel in pairs.[2]

When Fluters are attacked by Garu Cats, they will try to kill the beast by hitting it "between the eyes" with a spear.[3] This is also a successful strategy when using a throwing-axe.[4]

According to concept drawings, there were once called "Gorgul" or "Gorgul Cats"[5]
