Viceroy Gurati is a Taragi statesman who features prominently in The Tusks of Wusterim. He is seemingly responsible for the administration of the western Border-Tusks, as he is there to survey their construction, and is later in charge of their defense during an attack by Kazoot. The Viceroy wears a skullcap, a Tusk necklace, and two earrings, which might be symbols of his rank.

Gurati owns Sutch, a Frog-Man slave who later leads a rebellion against Taragi.
