Hunter (role)
From Rice Boy Wiki
- This article is about the Fluter occupational role of Hunter. For the character in Vattu, see Hunter
The role of Hunter is an occupational name taken on by the chief hunter of a Fluter tribe. Unlike other hunters, the Hunter wears two bands of string or leather around his forehead, signifying his status. This role (as well as the job of hunter in general) is generally played by male Fluters.
The Hunter dresses similarly to other hunters: a tunic and cord belt, along with a shoulder-sling pouch (which may or may not be a mark of the role). He is also shown carrying a spear decorated with Shira feathers on the model sheet.
In the white-marked tribe
The first Hunter seen in Vattu is known only as Hunter, since he took on the role before the events of the comic. He later is succeeded by Tarro, who continues as Hunter into Blue 875. The two are shown to Vattu's left on the "Possession" print, illustrating their successive influences on the young Fluter.[1]
