Infin is a Hornèd from Stonepalm, who was taken by the Bleach Beast to become an apprentice Heir of Ridrom under Parod. Infin's brother Gerund, believing him dead, set off to kill the Bleach Beast and avenge Infin. The two eventually reunited when Gerund found his way to the Red Mountains.
As an apprentice Heir, Infin learned many of Parod's secrets, and disguised himself to carry out Parod's errands around the Red Mountains. Stories of a "black, one-eyed monster"-- really, Infin in his costume-- spread as far as Satuar,<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/see/index.php?c=232</ref> and likely prevented possible explorers from discovering Parod's house. Of course, Infin had no such ill intentions. When Rice Boy fainted on the path through Skortch, he was rejuvenated by a bowl of water brought to him by a disguised Infin.
