The Judicials are three massive Machine Men that controlled the Black Teeth in the late Blue and early Red Ages.[1] The Judicials' oligarchy had a strong power over the Machine Men capital; they could close off portions of the Teeth,[2] negotiate with other Acircan powers (such as the Torch), and pass judgment over prisoners (who had likely been sentenced to prison by the Judicials themselves). The sentencing and judging itself occurred at the "Judging Stone" in the Garden of the Black Teeth.
The individual Machine Men of the Judicials do not have a name; they are always referred to as a unit. Often, one Judicial will begin a sentence, and another will finish it, possibly pointing to some kind of shared mind. However, the middle Judicial speaks the most, and could be said to be the "head" Judicial.
The One Electronic's murder of one of the Judicials causes him to stay away from the Black Teeth for 620 years (until the events of Rice Boy).
