Karrkín

Karrkín, the "Cold Desert",[1] is a large desert in eastern Acirca. It is divided from the desert Skortch by the Great Trench, and extends east to the Bay Karrkín in the Northern Digits. Karrkín proper is bordered in the south by the Fallen Mountains, although "South Karrkín" extends as far as the Estring Mountains.
Major settlements in Karrkín include Terassir and the Shadow Monument, home of the Shade-kin. The insectoid Gareeks are native to Karrkín, and there are likely other indigenous animals as well.
In Order of Tales, Koark wanders alone through Karrkín after escaping from the Monument, and stumbles upon the Grey Castle in central South Karrkín.
