Krakuul is a Blackbird official in the Torch, who plays a large part in Order of Tales. He has a chip on the right side of his beak, and wears many symbols of his authority, including bracers carved with the Torch "R"-symbol, a single neck-band, and pins on his cloak representing his allegiance to the Torch and (presumably) the Black Teeth.
He first appears with the Torch delegation sent to retrieve Bottle Woman from the Machine Men. He survives the ensuing skirmish, and is later seen reporting to the Shade-Kin commander,[1] where it is first revealed that a Teller (i.e. Koark) accompanies Bottle Woman.
Later, when Koark, Bottle Woman, and their party attempt to depart from Terassir, they are pursued by Krakuul and his Blackbirds on their Dranbeasts. When Tircha, the Sirpah scout, goes back to investigate, he is shot down by Krakuul.[2]
