Machine Dominion

The Machine Dominion was a roughly 500 year period during which the Machine Lords and their army of Machine Men ruled over the New People of Overside. The Dominion is also known as the Age of Machines, and it took place directly before the Grey Age. Koark's story Machine Dominion is about this time.
The Machine Lords decided to rule over the New People due to the latter's relative weakness and mortality.[1] However, one of the New People, Obilik Blacksword, was strong enough to oppose the Machine Lords and delay their conquest. Nonetheless, he was defeated by "a tool of the Machines".[2]
Each of the Machine Lords resided in towers that they had built during the White Age; Omirm lived south of the Estring Mountains, while Omo lived north of the future Black Teeth. Omon and Omerr both had towers (the Iron Tower itself was one), although their locations are unknown. The Machine Lords also kept personal slaves, such as Rog, who was owned by Omirm. The slaves were treated brutally (Rog was blinded and deformed by Omirm), implying that the Machines' treatment of the New People, on a wider scale, was far from humane.
While the full story is unknown, eventually the Dominion violently fell to slave uprisings and rebellions by the New People. Omirm was torn apart by Rog, as told in the story Rog, and the ex-slave wore his master's body as armor. Omo, along with a remnant of Machine Men, fled to the Teeth, where they likely took refuge in and around the Machine Lord's tower (the fortress of the Black Teeth would not be built for another thousand years). Omo then cursed the Machine Men to become mortal, so that they would never be arrogant enough to try and rule Overside again.
