Maquín is a Machine Man who features prominently in Rice Boy. He is an agent of the army of the Black Teeth, who accompanies a wounded T-O-E back to the Teeth, so that he can be healed by the fruit of the Tree of Thought. He is notable for his "hook" hand, which is two bent wires in the place of his left hand. He travels on his steed Korpum, who can shrink down to a tiny cube. He also carries a small laser pistol.
Maquín is not afraid to use relatively harsh methods; however his zeal in capturing a Frog-Man spy causes him to get stabbed in the left "wrist".[1] This causes him to promptly shoot the Frog with his pistol. He also sometimes butted heads with T-O-E early in their travels,[2][3][4][5] but the two Machine Men grow closer as Rice Boy unfolds.
