New People

The New People is the name given in the story Machine Dominion to the various species that emerged "from the seas and from the deep caverns" after the Machine Men, who were designed by the Giants. The New People come in diverse shapes and sizes, with differing kinds and numbers of limbs and organs. While they are numerous, the various species of the New People are not all named; some of the individual New People may even be a species unto themselves.

Names of New People species include:

• Dimmons
• Fin-Folk
• Fluters
• Frog-Men
• Gaundts
• Gorrkans
• Hornèds
• Ice-Striders
• Rhed
• Shade-Kin
• Sirpah
• Skint
• War-Men

The Trill-Folk and White Formless might also be included in the above list, however they might also be a special case, as their existence is tied to the Avatars and the Void. Additionally, there are named animal species, such as Gareeks or Shira, but they are likely not considered among the New People.
