War-King Obilik Blacksword is a White Age warlord who was the main opposition to the Machine Men before the Dominion. His deeds are partially referenced in Machine Dominion, but more information is likely contained in Ascent of the Bone Ziggurat. Obilik is possibly a Gaundt, like Koark.[2]
Obilik's tomb rests atop the Bone Ziggurat, in the "cavern full of ancient magic" as described in Rog. The tomb presumably contained Obilik's unbreakable magic sword (from which he gets the epithet "Blacksword"), which the second Rog took.[3]
Bottle Woman seems to have some power to counter Obilik's magic sword. She is described in Bottle Woman as "bane of baneless horn and knife", where "baneless horn and knife" references Obilik's unique helm and sword.[4]
In Order of Tales, Koark pretends to be Obilik, convincing a band of superstitious Blackbirds led by Tarrka that he is the war-king returned from death.
