Order of Tales
The Order of Tales is a story-gathering society founded in the Blue Age in northern Wusterim. Väine, Serínger, and Tout, its three founders, started the organization to compile an all-encompassing history of Overside, but they eventually focused less on historical tales, turning instead to the myths and fables of Overside. Each founder compiled their own book, which was passed down from child to child, establishing a lineage of story-collecters known as "Tellers".
This long history stretched to the opening of Order of Tales in Red 219. At that time, Teller Themb possessed Väine's black cloth book, Teller Gerrah possessed Serínger's leather-bound copy, and Teller Mour possessed Tout's ivory book.

Väine's Lineage
Before he helped found the Order, Väine was a "Scribe". Väine himself can be seen as a statue in the library at Seen in Rice Boy.<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/see/index.php?c=324</ref> Väine belongs to the Gaundt species,<ref>http://www.formspring.me/evndahm/q/496594609</ref> and his descendants include Themb's mother,<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/order/index.php?c=172</ref> Duke Teller Themb, and his child Koark. After the destruction of Themb's Castle, Koark becomes the last Teller in this line, although he maintains possession of his father's book.
Koark has often used Väine's name in the form of an oath,<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/order/index.php?c=176</ref><ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/order/index.php?c=486</ref> as well as in his literal oath to join the Order.<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/order/index.php?c=037</ref>
Serínger's Lineage
Serínger was a "Binder" before the Order. The mad Teller Gerrah is the only member of this line seen in Order of Tales.
Tout's Lineage
Before forming the Order, Tout (pronounced /taʊt/) was a "Scholar". While Mour is a known member of this lineage, he has not yet been seen in Order of Tales, and likely will not be, considering that he was killed by Gerrah before the events of the comic. The whereabouts of his book, or the status of any possible descendants, is unknown.
