Priestess (Shamaness on the model sheet) is the religious leader of the white-marked tribe at the beginning of Vattu. Since she took on the role of Priestess before the events of the comic, her original name is unknown. However, judging from her mark, it would be two syllables long.
Priestess lives apart from the other Fluters in her own tent, which is decorated with her mark.[1] There, she keeps the ritual items of the tribe, and discusses spiritual matters along with the pressing issues of the tribe's continued survival. At the beginning of the story, she puts heavy emphasis on following the will of Ata, which sets her in conflict with the first Hunter. However, near the end of her life in Blue 875, she sees the need for change in the Fluters' way of life, and is acutely aware of the danger of complacency.
She controversially taps Vanni to succeed her, making him a Priest. However, she passes before anyone can challenge her choice.
