Rog is the fourth story told by Koark. Part of it is told in the underground passage between Stonepalm and Imfort to Bottle Woman. However, Impera approaches and Koark stops, leaving the story incomplete.
Rog
Fire and torn metal
covered the land in the
wake of the Age of
Machines, and the people
of Overside were in chaos.
The Machine Lords had
been torn apart by their
subjects, or driven into
hiding in the North,
but the warring did not
cease in their absence.
One alone is remembered
from that ocean of war.
His gray body was torn
and twisted and his eyes
darkened by the Machine
Lord Omirm, himself.
Omirm fell at his hands
at the start of the violent
end of the Age of
Machines.
And the warrior took
the name ROG, for
he had forgotten his own.
And he fashioned armor
from the punctured body
of Omirm, and began to
conquer all the lands in
his sight. Above a
cavern full of ancient
magic, he built his castle
of gray stone and clawed
towers, and topped its
walls with undying
flames.
And with the cavern's
magics and Omirm's
blood Rog ruled the
warlords of Acirca.
Roads were paved from
his capital, like the
branches of a tree of
death. Bands of Rog's
soldiers found those
Machine Men who
lingered and killed them,
and their bodies were
