Searcher
Searcher is a term used by Parod<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/see/index.php?c=274</ref> and Maquín<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/see/index.php?c=364</ref> to refer to an immortal servant of God (or the Avatars) that nominates the Fulfillers of Ridrom's Prophecy. There were only three Searchers-- The One Electronic, Calabash, and Golgo-- and if one left or died, they were not replaced. The Searchers were chosen in the Blue Age after the Plague. While T-O-E was around 130 years old when he was chosen, Cal and Golgo were much younger (as they are not Machine Men).
A Searcher is not impervious to harm, rather the immortality seems to extend only to natural lifespan. However, it is unclear how much protection the immortality provides if the particular Searcher gives up on their constant task.
Interventions
The Searchers are known to have gone beyond their normal duties, and influenced world affairs unrelated to the Prophecy. Some examples, in rough chronological order:
- Calabash fought on the side of Suntown when it was invaded by Whetton in the early Blue Age.<ref>http://www.rice-boy.com/see/index.php?c=180</ref>
- T-O-E and Calabash played a large part in the effort against the Torch, as depicted in Order of Tales. Golgo was also involved, but for unknown ends.
- T-O-E was one of the only lasting emperors of the Gorrkans, and organized Bog-Squads which lasted for a short time even after his departure.
