Seri is one of the Fluters from the white-marked tribe in Vattu. She plays the role of caretaker for Vanni and Vattu, the two children of the tribe. She dresses in a red shawl and long brown dress.
On p038, Seri discovers a mysterious box caught in the reeds of the River Tarria, when she is bathing Vattu. This box is of interest to The Dead, and may have floated downriver from a more developed area in the northern Esterteng (such as Sahta). However, she keeps it a secret from the tribe, leading to a great deal of misfortune. When Priestess learns of Seri's deception, she is expelled from the tribe.
