Skortch

Skortch, the "Burning Desert"[1], is a large desert in western Acirca. It is divided from the desert Karrkín by the Trench as well as the Red Mountains. Skortch is divided from the rest of western Acirca by the Mountain Ring, which includes the eponymous Skortridge.
Both Suntown and Backtown in the Mountain Ring border Skortch. The small nation of Satuar is also near to the desert. A road leads from Backtown across Skortch to the Red Mountains, where Parod and the Bleach Beast make their home.
