The entirety of Tenshells

Tenshells is a major west-Acircan city that has existed since the late Blue Age. It stretches out into the Bay of Fueg, at the place where the Shell River (a tributary of the Fueg River) reaches the Wustersea. In total, thirteen shells actually make up Tenshells: nine giant shells in the Bay itself, the one Entry Shell, and three smaller Spireshells.[1]

History

Tenshells was constructed in Blue 1989 under the orders of the Oceanqueen Slent, who is revered by the Fin-Folk, the main inhabitants of the city. They dug up the islands on which they used to live, and moved them to create the foundations for the enormous shells. Each shell was cordoned off into living spaces, public spaces, and even a "shellcouncil" on the bottom floor, where Slent could enter to converse with the Fin-Folk.

The city reached its peak in the first Red century, when it was inhabited by roughly 15,000 people. At this time, Tenshells also had to deal with the new Frog-Man nation of Sunk, which attempted to challenge its dominance of the Wustersea. Eventually, after a few years of skirmishes, the Treaty of Tenshells was signed in Red 115. This event is shown in "The Treaty of Tenshells" in Warriors. Pursuant to this treaty, Tenshells was given the western areas of the Boiling Bay. There, Tenshells established a number of small colonies.

Tenshells' decline came in the third Red century, with the arrival of the Torch. While the exact events are uncertain, the Torch likely sacked Tenshells, leading to a decline in its population and influence. Tenshells' colonies on the Jutte-Path in the Southern Digits, to the west of the Shell River, became known as the Territories of Porrum.
