The Thinker

The Thinker is a series of three short stories by Evan Dahm. Part I was announced after the release of Settling Down in January 2011,^[1] and was added to the site in May 2011.^[2] Part II followed in September 2011.^[3]

Dahm mentioned on a Ustream that the chronological location of The Thinker will be ambiguous, but it will take place before Order of Tales. However, that means it could take place anywhere in the Blue Age or early Red Age, a period of over 2000 years.

Part I

The first part concerns the discovery of a malfunctioning T-O-E by the mysterious Attendant of a massive mechanical device.

The second part includes T-O-E's escape from captivity, multiple attempts on his life, and the beginning of his encounter with the immense machine underneath the desert.
