The white-marked tribe

The white-marked tribe is the main tribe of Fluters shown in Vattu. So far, all marked Fluters (thus, those besides the Dead) have been members of this group. The tribe gets its name from the white forehead-marks of the Fluters themselves. It is unclear whether Fluters with different-colored marks exist, but judging from the name it seems likely (were they contrasted only with the Dead, "marked" vs "unmarked" would suffice, without needing to reference a color).
The name comes from the description of the "Possession" print on the rice-boy.com store,[1] which is the first place that has referred to the group of Fluters in Vattu (as opposed to Fluters in general) in any way. In the comic, the Fluters are first referred to as "those marked in white" on p070, and are called a "tribe" by Morrian on p104.

Members of the tribe
The size of the tribe fluctuates, but on average it is made up of 12-15 Fluters of various ages. They are organized below into four "generations", groups of Fluters born around the same time.[2][3] Most of the Fluters can be seen on the tribe model sheet.
