Torgut

The Torgut are a migratory species native to the Esterteng, which resemble a sort of furred parasaurolophus. They are hunted by the Fluters, who follow the Torgut up and down the River Tarria in yearly cycles known as "turnings"[1].
Torgut travel in large herds, which slowly move across the low ground of the Esterteng. At the end of the warm season (which is where Vattu opens), they head upriver, coming back downriver at the end of the following cold season (as the Fluters would describe it).
The Torgut are not only food for the Fluters; they are also used for making maps,[2], floormats,[3], and possibly clothes and tents.
