Thanks

I haven't taken the opportunity to thank you for making the Rice Boy and OoT comics, but I should do so now. You've created a wonderfully lush world, using a striking design sense that I find terribly appealing. I've recommended your works to a number of people, and will probably continue to do so in the future. Again, many thanks. --Kelseigh 01:57, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

MORE THANKS Banjaloupe 01:58, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Thank you very much I really appreciate it. I will keep making this stuff ok! Evn (how do you do that timestamp thing?)
TRIPLE THANKS. THANKINGSPREE. Four tildes: '~', will do it (it does your whole signature) -Danke 02:01, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Got EC'd there, but I should add that five tildes will give you a timestamp without the signature, in case you need it. --Kelseigh 02:03, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Man I am learning so much of the arcane language of Wiki here. thanks guys ---Evn 02:06, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Offlimits Info?

So is all information in-bounds? I have referenced your more canonical proclamations on the forum, but can we quote information from the book appendices or from Assetbar? Presumably paraphrasing is ok, but if a direct quote is appropriate, is that allowed? Banjaloupe 22:48, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Stuff from appendices, assetbar, other paid-for stuff is absolutely ok for inclusion here. I'd prefer paraphrasing, but direct quotes fine if not super-long. Thanks for asking. -Evn 01:29, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Ok there is some kinda crazy spam attack going on right now, jsyk Banjaloupe 04:44, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Hey thanks for getting rid of a bunch of those dudes, although it does look like it's still ongoing. Maybe you wanna see if you can do something from the MediaWiki anti-spam suggestions? Maybe a blacklist or CAPTCHAs would help? Banjaloupe 02:11, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Are you going to get a chance to delete the pages they've created, or should I start on blanking those? Banjaloupe 03:26, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Hey it looks like you stopped the spammers! Yayy!!! Thank you! Banjaloupe 23:30, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

It is my webmaster's doing! There is an email-verification thing in place now. Thank you for bearing with me.... Evn 06:34, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

I don't know if it helps, but it looks like the spammers stop when there aren't any recent edits, and then start up again when there are. Banjaloupe 01:44, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
I don't know if you or your webmaster knows, but I put this together: List of Spam Pages.

Hey, new to Wiki writing...just deleted a spam page and replaced it with what seemed like your latest update to the Main Page for Overside. Seems to still be a problem. Can't you work something out with the admins of Wikipedia? This is terrible! LRSUMMIT 9:39, 9 May 2011 (EST)

Hi there! Thanks for coming in and helping with the spam problem! Usually the way to fix a page that has been overwritten with spam is to go into the history (one of the tabs near the top) and click "undo" by the spammer's edit. It looks like you instead copied over the contents of the current events page, which is not quite it, but still thanks for helping out! Usually the spam is not (as urgent of) a problem because whatever bots that are hitting the wiki just create new pages, instead of editing existing ones. There have been a few times where the main page has been hit, but as you can see they get fixed relatively quickly. Still, Evan and his webmaster have been working on ways to stop the spammers from continuing to flood the wiki. If you know of any particular extensions/plugins/changes in general that would reduce spam, you could post them here! That is probably the most direct way we can help out with the spam problem :) Banjaloupe 07:49, 9 May 2011 (PDT)
