Whetton

Whetton is a ruined city in western Acirca. It the early Red Age it was inhabited by the Whettons, who relied on the Tree of Thought in Whetton to fulfill their existential needs. However, when the Tree died around the seventh Red century, the Whettons attacked Suntown in the hopes of somehow taking the fruit from their Tree. However, Suntown responded by burning the Tree, causing the Whettons to lose hope and give up. They traveled south to Wusterim sometime after this, founding the city of "New Whetton", having possibly found a new Tree.
Whetton also contained a temple related to Ridrom's Prophecy, as can be seen on p171.[1]
The only inhabitant of Whetton at the time of Rice Boy is the historian Arctaur, who relates the story of Whetton's downfall to Rice Boy when he travels through the town.
